Training

PILOT TRAINING

 

Private Pilot License (PPL)

A student must have a full medical examination, for solo flight a student must be 17years old, for commercial a client must be 18years old.

• Restricted Radiotelephony License
• Minimum of 40 hours total flying time
• including – 15 hours solo flying
• 3 hours solo cross country flying
• Flight test with Grade 1 or Grade 2 instructor

Each student will have to pass theoretical testing in order to advance in their course. At the end of training the student will be required to complete a flight test, which includes cross-country testing.

Once all the above requirements have been completed, the student will be awarded a private pilot licence. Private licence holders may not fly commercially, though they may carry passengers if they wish.

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE

Minimum Requirements to acquire this licence

• General Radio License
• Minimum of 200 hours total flying time
• Including 100 hours as Pilot in Command & 20 hours Cross country flying

• 10 hours of Night Flying
• 1 x day 300nm cross country flight with at least 2 landings
• 1 x night 150nm triangular cross country flight
• Theoretical Exams by CAA (8 subjects)
• Flight test with a Designated Examiner

A Commercial Pilot’s License entitles a pilot to fly commercially.

INSTRUMENT RATING

In this course student are trained on how to fly using the instruments, procedures and radio aids that will enable pilot to fly in bad weather conditions.

Turbo-jet and Turbo-prop Engine Aircraft

Ground school and practical training will have you in complete control of these aircrafts. Rigorous theoretical application is put to good use during this course as you pilot yourself towards new heights.

RESTRICTED RADIO LICENSE
